A story of breaking, then miracles happening and finally shinning through with the light of God.
Sex. In a world overwhelmingly obsessed with it, why is the church so silent about it? While our secular culture twists, perverts, cheapens, and idolizes sex, there are gaping holes in the church's guidance of young people. The result is generations of sexually illiterate people drowning in the repercussions of overwhelming sin struggles. Enough is enough, says Mo Isom. With raw vulnerability and a bold spirit, she shares her own sexual testimony, opening up the conversation about misguided rule-following, virginity, temptation, porn, promiscuity, false sex-pectations, sex in marriage, and more and calling readers back to God's original design for sex--a way to worship and glorify him. This book is for the young person tangled up in an addiction to pornography, for the girlfriend feeling pressured to go further, for the "good girl" who followed the rules and saved herself for marriage and then was confused and disappointed, for the married couple who use sex as a bargaining tool, for every person who casually watches sex play out in TV and movies and wonders why they're dissatisfied with the real thing, and for every confused or hurting person in-between. Sex was God's idea. It's time we invited him back into the bedroom.
People don't drive cars through buildings ? that's what I used to laugh and say when I would see it on TV or in the movies. But then, then it happened to me. I wasn't in the car. I was in the building. And I lived. My unborn son lived. My father lived. This is my story ? my life after the wreck.

To: Editor, Atlanta Journal-Constitution I believe your newspaper has been missing something for the last two decades. In fact it was the original reason I became a loyal subscriber in the fi rst place: the thriceweekly columns of my all-time favorite writer, the late, great Lewis Grizzard. Trust me when I say that as a loyal University of Florida graduate it’s diffi cult for me to admit there is actually something good that came out of the University of Georgia, and that something would be Lewis Grizzard. Born and raised in nearby Moreland (I reside in Peachtree City, Georgia), Grizzard had a major influence on my writing style. This is my sixth self-published book; one of them sold so well a publisher came a-calling tobuy the rights to it. Now I’d like to take my writing to the next level. That’s where you come in. Consider this book as both my job application and resume for a position on your editorial staff. Everything here on the back cover is my cover letter to you. I leave you with one simple question: When do I start?

Everything changes one spring night when their six closest friends, including Brian's younger brother, are killed in a fiery car accident that Carly and Brian witness. The trauma leaves Carly unable to speak, and Brian is forced to make unimaginable decisions about a future that once seemed so certain. With Carly incapable of going forward with their plans, Brian leaves home and Carly for good. Fifteen years later, disturbing new clues indicate the accident that wrecked so many lives wasn't an accident at all, bringing Brian home to face a past—and a love—he's never forgotten.
Life can sometimes as the old saying goes, "throw you a stumbling block in the road". My plans were when I get out of High School were pointing to the ministry. I was helping dad on the farm but it was not a big enough farm to make a good living. But the Vietnam War was escalating and many of my classmates were being drafted. Well I had two things going for me that might keep me out of the service. One was I was farming with an aging Father who had turned 60. And the other thing was that I was studying for the ministry. But I was not enrolled in Bible College yet nor could I afford to go because of the cost and because I would have to leave the farm. I had already been preaching since I was 12 years old and had conducted a few Revivals and was serving as youth leader of our church. I had conducted a Vacation Bible School at our church and helped our church to grow. I preached for the elderly Pastor several times. I had completed some correspondence courses with Berean Bible collage but if I did complete all the courses I would still have to be in internship program under another preacher and church In the Assemblies of God. That would have taken a few years to complete. Our church in Mt. Sterling Illinois was a small Assemblies of God that had an old 80 year old pastor who was not able to help me much because of his age and health. But I used to love to hear him preach. He passed away when I was in Vietnam. Our whole County of Brown County was about 5,000 people. The County seat was Mt. Sterling and was about 3,000. The rest mostly farming community . A Marine recruiter from Quincy, Illinois came out to the farm in Versailles Illinois in the fall of 1965. I had graduated from Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling Illinois in May. I was working during the day at the Brick yard in Mt. Sterling and helping dad when I got off work. We were on the back of dads 80 acres where my 40 acres joined his. It was mostly timber and pasture. Dad had 5 acres of level ground back

We were made for intimacy--spiritual intimacy with God that brings oneness and bears powerful fruit. We were made to know Him and be known by Him, fully. So why do we often feel burnt-out, distant, and disheartened in our journey of faith? How do we cultivate true intimacy with God? And what does His design of physical, sexual intimacy unveil of the full gospel story? Sharing Word-backed, Holy Spirit-breathed revelation with humility and openhanded honesty, New York Times bestselling author Mo Aiken walks alongside us through the beauty and power of life lived in active communion with God, rather than the self-seeking, counterfeit faith we've settled for. Unpacking eternity-defining concepts that have become confusing, offensive, or altogether ignored--like submission, repentance, sanctification, holiness, and discipline--Mo shows us how God has given us a physical model of spiritual intimacy through His design of marriage, sex, and family. Exposing many roots of selfishness and perversion we see so often in our relationships, both human and divine, she invites us to pure-hearted and transformational communion with our Creator. If you've felt far from God, caught in broken relationships, dead in religion, and longing to be fully known, join Mo on this journey of return to right-natured intimacy with our First Love.
When Kate forsakes London to join her husband in the North of Scotland, it is more than a journey to an unfamiliar land. The spirit of the Highland village, invested with ancient clan warfare, works its magic on her; and the foundations of her matter-of-fact marriage, and of her being, shift eerily. Kate soon finds herself enmeshed in the tangle of desires, jealousies and darker emotions that run riot beneath the deceptively calm surface of the ingrown little town. Passions rise in the hills; guilty secrets are laid bare in the valleys; and a lonely and ironic death on a mountainside rights old wrongs. 'One of the most haunting, with a marvellously romantic Highland setting ... eminently satisfying and inevitable' Publishers Weekly
