"The Black Atheist in America" is a powerful and thought provoking wake up call for the Black Community. Author Jason Winn delivers a rock solid combination of facts and flavor that will transform the aimless believer into a well informed doer.Religion has maintained a very violent and sordid history throught mankinds' life on the planet. Religion was very instrumental in The Crusades, the Trans-Atlantic/Trans-Sahara slave trade, the Arab/Israeli War, and the Spanish Inquisition just to name a few. These ultra destructive events have caused vast numbers of people to lose their lives all in the name of one mans' god being greater than the other mans' god.In the Black Community. The pastors and preists of today are keeping their congregations ill informed. Much is swept under the rug by these religious leaders who continue to make lack luster headlines involving sex, drugs, and betrayal. In the end, everybody suffers. People, both young and old, will lose their time, money, and (if no action is taken) their lives. From start to finish "The Black Atheist in America" is excellent. It examines the harmful effects that religion has on the African American from a historical and factual stand point. It reveals the very retrogressive mindset of religion and the progressive mindset of critical thinking. And lastly, this book reveals workable solutions to the limited horizons and dismal expectations so "characteristic" in the Black Community. These solutions are extremely viable only if a critically thinking mind is brought to the table and not religion."

This collection features more than two dozen narratives by atheists from different backgrounds across the United States. Ranging in age, race, sexual orientation, and religious upbringing, these individuals address deconversion, community building, parenting, and romantic relationships, providing a nuanced look at living without a god in a predominantly Christian nation. These narratives illuminate the complexities and consequences for nonbelievers in the United States. Stepping away from religious belief can have serious social and existential ramifications, forcing atheists to discover new ways to live meaningfully without a religious community. Yet shedding the constraints of a formal belief system can also be a freeing experience. Ultimately, this volume shows that claiming an atheist identity is anything but an act isolated from the other dimensions of the self. Upending common social, political, and psychological assumptions about atheists, this collection helps carve out a more accepted space for this minority within American society.

In Dark Agenda, New York Times bestselling author David Horwitz exposes not only the progressive war against Christianity, but also a war against America and its founding principles, which are Christian in their origin. Dark Agenda is about an embattled religion, but most of all, it is about our imperiled nation. Tackling a broad range of issues from prayer in the schools to the globalist mindset, Horowitz traces the anti-Christian movement to its roots in communism. When the communist empire fell, progressives did not want to give up their utopian anti-God illusions, so instead they merely changed the name of their dream. Instead of “communism,” progressives have re-branded their movement as “social justice.” Dark Agenda shows how the progressives are prepared to use any means necessary to stifle their opponents who support the concepts of religious liberty that America was founded on, and how the battle to destroy Christianity is really the battle to destroy America.

To save America and the world, Conservatives must first answer this one very important question: Why do the vast majority of Christian African Americans vote for the Atheist/Anti-Christian, Liberal Democrat Party? This book answers that question. Why is this important? The answering of this question and the implementation of the suggested remedies will greatly improve America's chances of ushering in an enlightened era of freedom and prosperity, while critically damaging its primary source of evil: The Democrat Party. This evil party could not survive without 90% of Christian African American vote. Conservatives wonder: Why would African Americans forsake their children, spouses, communities, lives, freedom and GOD for the Democrat Party? Presently, Democrats control every Black ghetto, every failing Black school, every drug corner and every prison in America. Amazingly, the majority of African Americans love them for it. Why? This book explains it. This book argues that falsely accused White Christian conservatives have nothing more for which to apologize. Despite slanderous accusations of racism and hatred, this book reassures Conservatives, and encourages them to press forward. The real oppressors are now unmasked. To control African Americans during and after the Civil Rights Movement, White Democrats organized and formed an unholy alliance with most Black preachers, Black civic organizers and Black politicians. I call this trifecta the "Iron Triangle." It has worked perfectly. This book exposes the greatest continuous betrayal in history: The betrayal of America in general, and of Black America in particular by the Democrat Party and the Iron Triangle. It utilizes lessons and anecdotes from my life experiences in the Jim Crow South, in the Black church, as a correctional officer, leading civic organizations, and involvement in politics to illustrate these facts. It traces the origins and explains the rationale behind the Black community's fatal attraction to th
This book is a companion volume for my book, Why I Became an Atheist: A Former Preacher Rejects Christianity (Amherst, NY: Prometheus Books, 2008). It presents some personal reflections and additional arguments not covered in that other book.
