This devotional journal is a celebration of one of the most demanding but richly rewarding jobs a woman can undertake: Motherhood. In it, you will find a collection of poems, quotes, Bible verses, writing prompts, and beautiful vintage artwork just begging to be colored-all curated with the Mom in mind. There is also plenty of space left over for recording your own thoughts, prayers, precious memories, and pearls of wisdom. I pray that as you work your way through the pages of this book, you will be encouraged to meditate on what the Bible says about this noble calling and will invest yourself in it fully, allowing God to shape you and sustain you through every changing season of your child's life.
How to allocate limited resources among children is a crucial household decision, especially in developing countries where it might have strong implications for children and family survival. We study how variations in parental income in the early life of their children affect subsequent child health and parental investments across siblings, using micro data from multiple waves of the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) spanning 54 developing countries. Variations in the world prices of locally produced crops are used as measures of local income. We find that children born in periods of higher income durably enjoy better health and receive better human capital (health and education) investments than their siblings. Children whose older siblings were born during favourable income periods receive less investment and exhibit worse health in absolute terms. We interpret these within-household reallocations in light of economic and evolutionary theories that highlight the importance of efficiency considerations in competitive environments. Finally, we study the implications of these for aggregate child health inequality, which is found to be higher in regions exposed to more volatile crop prices.
Liam McNamara has enough on his plate. As a widowed father to a daughter he doesn't recognise, he really has no time for his mother's interference with his love life. She and her church friend can stop handing out photos of him to the single ladies of the congregation and let him try to be the paternal and maternal figure his daughter so desperately needs. Abigail Yeboah ignores most of what happens in her mother's church. She's focused on her budding business and she's certainly not interested in playing Evil Queen to Liam McNamara's brat. But when Abigail catches his daughter in an act of vandalism, she finally understands it's not only the child who needs her, but the man.

But once Michael sealed their pact with a kiss, the fire that had always sparked between them became a four-alarm blaze. And that changed everything. Because Suzanne was now about to become his bride in every way!
