When campaigning began anew after the winter of 1863-64, the Battle of Wilderness seemed merely a reprise of earlier struggles, but Grant changed the pattern by refusing to withdraw and instead attacked again and again throughout the summer of 1864. This is the story of the 1864 Virginia campaign.

Show-business legend Dick Van Dyke is living proof that life does get better the longer you live it. Who better to offer instruction, advice, and humor than someone who's entering his ninth decade with a jaunty two-step? Van Dyke isn't just a born song-and-dance man; his irrepressible belief in embracing the moment and unleashing his inner child has proved to be the ultimate elixir of youth. When he was injured during the filming of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, his doctor warned him he'd be using a walker within seven years, but Dick performed a soft shoe right there and never looked back. In Keep Moving, Dick Van Dyke offers his own playful anecdotes and advice, as well as insights from his brother, actor Jerry Van Dyke; his friend and creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Carl Reiner; and other spirited friends and family. Whether he's describing the pleasure he takes in his habitual visits to the grocery store; how he met his late-in-life-love Arlene; or how he sprung back, livelier than ever, from a near-death experience, Dick's optimistic outlook is an invigorating tonic for anyone who needs a reminder that life should be lived with enthusiasm despite what the calendar says. "You don't have to act your age. You don't even have to feel it. And if it does attempt to elbow its way into your life, you do not have to pay attention. If I am out shopping and hear music playing in a store, I start to dance. If I want to sing, I sing. I read books and get excited about new ideas. I enjoy myself. I don't think about the way I am supposed to act at my age - or at any age. As far as I know, there is no manual for old age. There is no test you have to pass. There is no way you have to behave. There is no such thing as 'age appropriate.' When people ask my secret to staying youthful at an age when getting up and down from your chair on your own is considered an accomplishment, you know what I tell them? 'Keep moving.'" - Dick Van Dyke
The original plan was to ride from Tokyo, Japan to St. Petersburg, Russia via Mongolia and the Central Asian Republics. The twists and turns of fate saw them return home through Africa, which had never been part of the plan. From the fabled Silk Road route to Timbuktu there was plenty of adventure and challenges. After 50,000kms and through 30 countries Monica missed out on learning how to change a tyre as she didn’t even manage to get a flat. The trip was one of extreme travel and adventure and a wonderful way of spending a year. Monica and Simon managed to return home still married and keen to travel more.

Rebound & Keep Moving! is the key that unlocks the Christian way of life. After salvation the sin nature remains a relentless adversary, tempting the believer to sin and live in carnality. When the believer sins, fellowship with God is destroyed, the filling of the Holy Spirit is temporarily lost, and spiritual progress ceases. Rebound is the simplest yet most incredible concept in the spiritual life. Rebound defeats sin. Guilt, anguish, remorse over past failures vanish knowing that God forgives and forgets all past sins. Rebound is our access to intimacy with the Lord, the gateway to divine power in our lives, our license to serve the Lord. Rebound opens the door to the wonderful freedom the grace of God offers to every believer in Jesus Christ. For more information, visit rbthieme.org

Continuing on towards the second half of the decade, the free mind has become one of the most powerful things human nature possesses. Words and thoughts grow stronger as society continues to evolve and adapt to the many changes on its way. Opinions are treasured, and oppression is continuously rebelled against. It's through the mind however that these free emotions, thoughts, and ideas are achieved. Sadly in this new world, negativity continue to plague minds and sabotage thoughts, tormenting the minds of the free. As an embodiment of positivity, Mister Face stands ready to face these demons. Through the creative power of the mind and with help from some poetry and art, Mister Face will have to overcome one of the hardest things he has had to face. His own mind.
When it comes to regular exercise, a lot of people aren't moving much. Despite being nagged by their loved ones and hearing enough "rah, rah" slogans to last a lifetime, they remain overwhelmed by motivational challenges. Evidence-based research indicates that those people who are not overwhelmed, and who instead develop the motivation to get moving and keep moving, tend to have six important elements working for them: (1) hopes of long-term "benefits" from exercise; (2) choices of exercises that are within their current ability levels; (3) short-term benefits from exercise (including enjoyment and satisfaction) that exceed short-term "costs" (including discomfort and fatigue); (4) ways to reduce or eliminate exercise-related conflicts and inconveniences; (5) ways to overcome common obstacles to exercise routines; and (6) ways to adjust exercise routines to changing circumstances. Many people view motivational problems as character flaws. Dr. Trimble disagrees. Instead, he views society as often failing to teach us how to put the above six elements into play. Learning how on your own can be a pretty tall order. Drawing from evidence-based research, his years of work as a clinical psychologist, and his experiences as a life-long fitness practitioner, Dr. Trimble has written MOTIVATION FOR EXERCISE to help fill the gap.

Keep Moving is a reflection of the approach I take towards life. My wife taught me the value and beauty of travel, and photography has enabled me to share a few bits of it all with others. Traveling to unknown destinations is the ultimate learning experience. It enriches us and opens our minds to cultures and characters. Our senses grow stronger each time we venture out, and so do our bonds with others. All the images in this book have been taken in the United States, Spain, Mexico, Cuba, and Iceland. These countries have deeply impacted me in how I view and live my life. I hope to keep traveling and keep learning. Keep moving.
