The follow-up to the international #1 bestselling collection of prose and photography, this is the third book in the I Wrote This For You series and gathers together the very best entries in the project from 2011 to 2015. Started in 2007, I Wrote This For You is an internationally acclaimed exploration of hauntingly beautiful words, photography and emotion that's unique to each person that reads it. Only available during the launch period, this limited edition of I Wrote This For You And Only You has been created using a superior colour printing process for brighter, better photography. While the differences between the normal edition and this edition are subtle and nuanced, the publisher, author and photographer want to give readers a choice in terms of both price and quality.
I wrote this for you. You are a Phalaenopsis sticking out of the wall contrary to everything ordinary. I don’t know what it is but something about you makes me go amok, a craving worse than smoking. Something like beautiful. Something haywire. I know if I have you, I would probably quit my secondhand habits and walk into rehab without understanding why. I would become a disciple and go to church every day. Just for you. Just to see your face. Anything you love, I will become.
Collection of poetry from the author's blog called "I Wrote This for You" from the years 2007 to 2017.
This is the truth of you. Because you are all I see. Because you are all I breathe. Because when I cannot find you, I am lost. Because when I’m with you, I am found. Because you have the fire of the universe in you, and sometimes you forget. So this book is here to remind you. Dear You, I want you to know that I see you. I want you to know that even if no one else does, even if you are a ghost in this bookshop, or just the static floating across the screen of your computer, wherever you’re reading this, I see you. I see you in the dark and I see you in the grey. I see you as a story, as words I have spoken or may yet speak. Maybe only in a memory or a dream. I see your hands and your arms and your body and your legs and your face and I see what you have been and what you will be. I see you and in looking at you, I want you to know that whoever you’ve had to be to survive all this, I will not look away. I want you to know that there’s a space inside this book for you. So if you have the time and the inclination, you can sit here with me, just for a while. And perhaps between us, we can see everything that matters. -pleasefindthis

A collection of poems written by the author that focus on love, heartbreak, and the feelings in between.
Very cynical, very me (and probably a few others too). I got very tired of reading the same self-help tips that never really seemed to apply to my life and always seem to be coming from some happy-go-lucky blogger whose life appears to be perfect. And so, this was born. A series of letters to you, full of all the crappiest, happiest and most confusing things that have happened to me over the years in the hope that you might learn something. If not, I?ve exposed myself and I?ll have to live with the embarrassment forever, but on the chance that anything I?ve learnt can make your days a little less crappy then it's worth it.
About The BookPoetry is rhythmic flow of inner feelings. "I wrote this for you" is a collection of poetry and prose about "love, Friendship and Life" written by Hassam. This book is another Masterpiece of modern Poetry and is like oxygen for "poetry lovers". The most prominent themes in Hassam's poetry are love, feminism, and social stigmas, though he occasionally wrote on other topics as well. His work is often based on romanticism, exploring the concepts of love, beauty and their contradictions, and heavily integrated the use of metaphors, similes and personifications.Hassam poems are considered "a combination of classical tradition with modern sensitivity and mainly deal with the feminine perspective on love and romance, and associated themes such as beauty, intimacy, separation, break-ups, distances, distrust and infidelity and disloyalty. About The Author:Hassam started writing at a young age of 11, penning both prose and poetry, and contributing columns in newspapers, and a few articles in English dailies. His poetry is extremely popular throughout the world. His poetry powerfully and defiantly voiced the deeply suppressed emotions of women living in a society dominated by men and their rules. He is poet of love and expresses his feelings in a very delightful way. It is the time to leave the fragrance of roses in the air and the candles to remove the darkness of the life. This Master piece is in your hands to enjoy the taste of your love.
*A People Top 10 Book of 2018* The New York Times essayist and author of We Learn Nothing, Tim Kreider trains his singular power of observation on his (often befuddling) relationships with women. Psychologists have told him he’s a psychologist. Philosophers have told him he’s a philosopher. Religious groups have invited him to speak. He had a cult following as a cartoonist. But, above all else, Tim Kreider is an essayist—one whose deft prose, uncanny observations, dark humor, and emotional vulnerability have earned him deserved comparisons to David Sedaris, Sarah Vowell, and the late David Foster Wallace (who was himself a fan of Kreider’s humor). “Beautifully written, with just enough humor to balance his spikiness” (Booklist), I Wrote This Book Because I Love You focuses Tim’s unique perception and wit on his relationships with women—romantic, platonic, and the murky in-between. He talks about his difficulty finding lasting love and seeks to understand his commitment issues by tracking down the John Hopkins psychologist who tested him for a groundbreaking study on attachment when he was a toddler. He talks about his valued female friendships, one of which landed him on a circus train bound for Mexico. He talks about his time teaching young women at an upstate New York college, and the profound lessons they wound up teaching him. And in a hugely popular essay that originally appeared in The New York Times, he talks about his nineteen-year-old cat, wondering if it’s the most enduring relationship he’ll ever have. “In a style reminiscent of Orwell, E.B. White and David Sedaris” (The New York Times Book Review), each of these pieces is “heartbreaking, brutal, and hilarious” (Judd Apatow), and collectively they cement Kreider’s place among the best essayists working today.
I Wasn’t Dead When I Wrote This is a recipient of the QED Seal, which stands for Quality, Excellence, Design for ebooks and applications. Perhaps the greatest gift we receive when we grow older is the gift of wisdom. When conversing with our children of those younger than us we might find ourselves giving advice and thinking, "If only I knew that when I was your age!" This is certainly the case for youth minister Lisa-Marie Calderone-Stewart--but it is especially noteworthy because this book was written in her final months before dying of cancer. After thirty years of working with teens, Calderone sums up a lifetime's worth of the best practical advice she has given and received for young people to be happy and spirituality strong in I Wasn't Dead When I Wrote This. Calderone acknowledges that ones teenage years are formative in shaping his or her attitudes and soul-habits, but too often teens look to contemporary culture and acquaintances to develop the ways they deal with life's curveballs. She reflects upon painful periods of time in her youth--such as the time she was the only student in class who had receved just one Valentine and the moment she overhead her parents discussing how much she had changed as a teenager and how they felt they had "lost her." It was through difficult but relatable experiences such as these that she learned the lessons on how to best avoid falling apart when life becomes challenging. It is never too late to change your life or shape someone else's--as Calderone does just that with this honest, heartfelt perspective on living written a few months dying.
From Iain S. Thomas, the creator of I Wrote This For You, and artist Carla Kreuser comes a collection of 300 things they truly and sincerely hope for you: from wishing you always have a pen, to hoping you're never lonely, and everything in-between. This collection of inspiring prose and illustrations will move you, and remind you of what's important in life as you live it. Or, that's what they hope.

This book is a collection of meaningful writings that were written in just two days time. This collection of writings contains a booklet, a brief summary of the techniques that I currently practice, a very short book, five poems, five songs, five speeches, and five essays. Not only do I intend to display the speed in which I can write but also display that I have a broad range of writing skills.
(Book). One of the most successful songwriters and composers of the last 25 years, Steve Dorff has penned over 20 Top 10 hits for pop and country artists around the world, including Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Blake Shelton, Smokey Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Ray Charles, Anne Murray, Whitney Houston, George Strait, Dolly Parton, Judy Collins, Cher, Dusty Springfield, Ringo Starr, and Garth Brooks. He has scored for television shows, including Growing Pains , Major Dad , Murder She Wrote , Reba , and several films, including Any Which Way but Loose for which he penned the titular song, and more recently, he has embarked on Broadway (forthcoming musical Josephine ). Chronicling his four decades behind the music, Steve Dorff gives anecdotes, advice, and insights into his journey. The book follows Steve from his childhood in Queens to Manhattan to Nashville and to his eventual arrival in Los Angeles, California. Oftentimes, songs are attributed to the singers who perform them, but it is the songwriter who really knows the story behind the story from conception to execution. Full of heartfelt stories, hard-earned wisdom, and delightful wit, I Wrote That One, Too . . . is a great read for musicians, music fans, and whoever has chased their dreams and survived the surprising but often serendipitous turns in the road.
