Hartwig, a certified sports nutritionist and co-founder of the Whole30 dietary reset, developed the concept of food freedom from her personal experience. She offers strategies for developing a positive relationship with food, so that people make choices based on how foods make them feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. Traditional diets keep people locked in a negative relationship with food. A diet that is based on restricting certain foods is not only unrealistic, but also affirms the notion that certain foods are bad and that people are doing something wrong when they eat them. The Freedom Forever I Treasured Book Description :

This is the true account of my personal journey to freedom. I truly believe that "freedom" is the most valuable commodity to us as human beings. For many of us, freedom comes with a huge price tag. I was separated from my family as a teenager in order to escape from the communist-governed Vietnam. This escape meant crossing the South China Sea. There were more than 165 people on a small wooden fishing boat; each hoping to survive and reach freedom. Unfortunately, my first attempt failed. I was captured and locked up in jail for eight months. Although my second attempt succeeded, I traveled 14 days at sea with no food and water and was robbed 21 times by sea pirates. Through that appalling journey, women were raped and people were killed. Hope was the only element providing us with the energy to move forward toward that freedom land. I grew up in a wonderful family filled with love and care, just like many of you. I never thought that I would one day face so much turmoil and hardship in my life. Our property was confiscated by the government. My father was thrown in jail for a year and was accused of being a capitalist by the North Vietnamese government. My mother's life was turned upside down dealing with all the tragic events occurring among us. Our family was never the same after South Vietnam was defeated in 1975. I believe that I have earned my freedom through suffering many atrocious experiences, sadness, sorrow, and humiliation throughout many years of my life. Nevertheless, living in the United States of America today, with my total freedom, made it all worth it!

Freedom Eating Book Description :

Eat what you want. Crave what you need. Sound too good to be true? Yes, I know. About 20 years ago, I thought the same thing. My name is Jennifer Kelly, and as a Board Certified health coach, I have spent over a decade supporting clients in applying that exact same strategy to their lives. Having experienced first-hand the power of food to heal, inspire, and renew, I offer my clients an educated source of reliable information on what to eat and why. It's about simplifying WHAT to do and HOW to do it. The good news is, anyone can do it, no matter how far from healthy you think you are. My strategy is simple, yet radically different than any other health plan I know of - and far more effective. Before you know it, your dinner plate, shopping cart, pantry, entire kitchen, and your body will be different, reflecting the new and positive choices YOU are making, simply because they make you feel good. Freedom Eating: A Revolutionary Plan to Live Life and Quit Dieting Forever is like having your own personal health coach walking you through the steps toward a diet-free life of enjoying food and a healthy body. My goal is to inspire you to make the simple but significant changes that will ultimately transform your health, your energy, your life. The truth is, diets don't work forever because they cause us to feel deprived, lesser-than, undeserving and unworthy. The message is that you can't have what you want because there is something inherently wrong with you, and that never feels good. We even say things like, "I was bad," if we eat a so-called "forbidden" food. Diets are psychologically damaging because they do not allow us to separate our will power around food from our worth as a person. How long can we keep making positive choices from a place of not feeling good about ourselves on a deeper level? As anyone who has ever dieted before knows, the answer is: not very long. Freedom Eating is different because the focus is on living. Diets focus on the death of all of the

Imagine how much you would fall in love with your life again if you weren't so consumed by negative thoughts about food, your weight and your body? Imagine if you could effortlessly find yourself at your perfect weight, in your perfect body, and feel happier and freer around food than ever before? All women are born Goddesses - but we tell ourselves over and over again that for some reason, we don't deserve to feel good. We berate ourselves in the mirror, refuse to accept compliments and use food as a punishment/reward system to mask how we are really feeling about our lives. The Goddess Revolution is taking over as the new 'anti-diet'. This is not a fad diet or a set of rules to follow, but a revolutionary new way of thinking that will help women to end the war on their bodies, start embracing an incredibly rewarding relationship with food, and become happier and more fulfilled than they ever thought possible. Tackling very modern issues - including 'fitspiration' and the obsession with perfection caused by celebrity culture and magazine airbrushing - Melissa speaks in a language that women can relate to. Written with passion from one Goddess to another, this book offers readers practical tips and powerful tools to give them back control of how they feel in their bodies and what they choose to put in them.

The psychological impact of intuitive eating is powerful, as it aims to remove the barriers of foods you eat versus foods you are not permitted to have and puts the decision making in your mind and body. You eat what you feel and when those forbidden foods are readily available, the cravings for them may not be as strong as they once were, when they were "off the table." This guide covers the following: Eating disorders Benefits of intuitive eating Emotional hunger versus physical hunger Distracting yourself How to succeed at intuitive eating and avoid common mistakes The heaviness of non-acceptance Important things to know about your emotional brain Sustainable ways to practice intuitive eating Hands-on strategies to prevent and overcome binge eating Re-design your life...AND MORE!!! Once we embrace that our own bodies are the best measurement for success in eating and living well, our confidence and self- respect increases, we learn to enjoy our food at the moment, as opposed to thinking of what to eat later or how what we eat is good or bad. Imagine one day, from start to finish, where the foods you eat and drinks you enjoy are not subjected to judgment, criticism or restriction, but simply enjoyed. Appreciation and respect for our bodies, needs, and food come out of this new-found enjoyment for our meals. As we adjust to this way of life, the stress and guilt associated with past food choices will disappear as we become more balanced and follow our own intuition.
